The Big Run Fire Dept. was chartered in 1940. We re-branded as the Big Run Area Volunteer Fire Company to better reflect the area that we serve.

We provide fire, rescue and EMS services to the municipalities of Big Run Borough, Gaskill Township, Henderson Township & Bell Township in Jefferson County and Banks Township in Indiana County.

  • Spring Gun Raffle

    April 12th, 2025

    Our spring gun raffle will be here before you know it. SAVE THE DATE.

    TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE. Find firefighters at the Family Dollar (closer to the date of the event) or visit one of our local businesses with tickets: Reagle’s Notary, Best Kawasaki, Big Run Flooring, Wise Veterinary Clinic, Haag’s Feed Store, Crazy Horse Bar, E&S Horse Supply, Beverly’s Guns & Ammo, Fast Cut, Byler’s Sporting Good Surplus, Byler’s Bent and Dent, Dave’s Metal Roofing, Biggie’s Quality Meats, London’s Guns & Carlson Auto Repair (in DuBois).

    15 guns and 5 cash prizes are on each ticket. If you attend the event you can partake in the “extra” gun drawings, the Mystery Gun, the “Furniture” Gun, Last Badger Standing guns, rip tickets, HUGE 50/50 drawings, a meal, beverages, snacks, music and more.

    All veterans and active military personnel will be eligible for the Robert Marshal Memorial Veteran Gun drawing. All 1st Responders will be eligible for the 1st Responders Gun drawing.

    Our raffles are a GREAT time for everyone. We hope to see you here at the Big Run Event Center, Saturday, April 12th. Doors open at 4:30pm and the drawings start at 6:30pm.

    To get tickets… you can find firefighters at the Family Dollar, stop in on any BINGO night at the Big Run Event Center or visit local businesses to get your tickets once we have them in hand. A full list of area businesses will be posted so you know where you can stop and get them.

    BINGO is on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday every month.

    Payouts are $100 per game (20 regular games) and a $1,000 Jackpot game to end the night. Early Birds, Progressive Games, Mini-Jackpots are also available.

    Rip tickets are also sold for those who enjoy playing tickets.

    $14,000 in total BINGO payouts!!!

    The Badger 500 is BINGO with big, big payouts. Each games pays out $500 (20 total games). The Jackpot game pays out $4,000. A meal is also served. Tickets are $100 but only 200 tickets will be sold.

    You’ll get the first chance to buy your ticket each and every year. It’s like Badger 500 “season tickets”.
